There are a lot of people, especially in Stumbleupon, that seem to think that SEO is used only to make money, increase traffic, to spam, to promote selfish interests, and to reciprocate greed and one-way desires.

When I refer to “Stumble Trolls”, I am referring to the SEO haters that have banded by the masses to terrorize and otherwise exhibit threatening and hateful behavior towards SEOs.
This is a break down of the Stumbleupon “About” page. With some additional points of interest. I hope to bridge the lack of education within our Stumbleupon community as to what SEO is and does, and to show that you don’t have know you’re an SEO to be one.
First, let’s briefly address Wikipedia’s definition of Search Engine Optimization:
