Confessions of a Wal Mart Hit Man

Don’t watch this video. It will make you hate Wal Mart.

It’s a bonus scene from “Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price”, a Robert Greenwald Film

  1. The simple aspect of causality really has to come into play. The idea that “value” is simply the amount that you take from your wallet at the register is preposterous. Aside from the cost to the employees of the largest US employer, what about the cost to the manufacturers and other retailers?

We have seen something similar in the US auto manufacturers during the 70’s and 80’s. I would love for more to read or listen to a special from Marketplace on sustainability and the environment.

Wal Mart wants suppliers and manufacturers to adjust their habits for a better environment, however, will not be proactive with their own habits and consumption… even pushing a marketing campaign to encourage consumers to buy eco-friendly products (from Wal Mart, of course) to do more for the environment. What? So they don’t have to?

I will always look up to the efforts of Sam Walton, however, wonder why the company did his memory and theology to task after he passed?

Where’s the “groundswell” when you need it?

  3. this is only 1 video of many that explains the tactics that wal mart uses in their activities.

when i watched “wal mart-the high cost of low price” (the movie) over the weekend, i was astonished by the slavery and the horrible things they do to keep their business in play. they are hypocritical in their actions and they are ruinous to our towns and globe. our government should not allow them to continue. why have they been tolerated? i just do not understand? they are literally criminals and not much is being done to stop them.
